About the product:
47x100mm is also commonly known as 4x2 inch, although the actual finished dimensions for this product are 45x95mm.
It is machine regularised which means the faces and edges have been slightly smoothed down and the corners slightly rounded or eased, the result of this process means the timber is smoother, straighter and easier to handle.
This product has been sourced from the highest quality Baltic Sawmills, we take great pride in our product quality so only proven high-quality sources are used by Fulham Timber Merchants.
Please note we also supply C24 Graded Timber if required, please see section on the website under this heading. We also can supply all the relevant fixings that you may require.
What is the difference between C16 and C24 timber?
C16 timber is typically used for internal uses such as wall and floor joists where structural grading is not required. It is kiln-dried to reduce moisture content. It is a more cost effective option for when superior, structural timber is not required as it can have some defects such as grain deviations.
C24 timber is one of the highest-quality timbers on the market. Similar to C16, it is also kiln-dried to reduce moisture content, however, it typically has fewer defects both structurally and visually making it a structurally and visually superior alternative to C16. C24 also meets most specifications.
Please note:
We make every effort to stock and supply the best quality timber available at any given time, however, timber is a natural product and can contain knots, rough spots, colour variations, and may not always be perfectly straight.
